| Born February 28, 1975, Stacey has always been self expressive in just about any form. Scribbling all over the walls with crayons as a kid was just the beginning. All through elementary school and high school, Stacey was always recognized for having strong talent in the arts by peers and instructors. After high school graduation in '93, Stacey enrolled in the Computer Graphics and Desktop Publishing program at Burnaby College excelling in PageMaker and Corel Draw and receiving diploma with high grades. Moving around alot, working at various odd jobs and drifting to this place and that, Stacey went to the Victoria College of Art, graduating from the three year diploma program in fine arts, excelling in painting, photography, and non traditional media. Recently after graduation, Stacey has sold a 2 panel piece for $700. Later on, Stacey's work was also included in a group exhibition, "Goat Rodeo" held in Victoria in 2001 displaying some of her professionally framed chalk pastel abstracts. It was at this time when Stacey began working in the picture framing industry and still does to this day, but only part time. After enduring more life events, Stacey ended up moving back to the mainland where she originated from, currently residing in New Westminster, B.C. with her long term boyfriend and 2 cats. From working in picture framing for so long, Stacey was seeking some change and decided to go back to school, attending the Art Institute of Vancouver, and graduating from the Digital Film and Video diploma program with a 3.3 GPA in September, '07. With such a wide variety of interests, there's just never enough hours in the day for Stacey as her thirst for creativity and self expression keeps on growing... |
